We are a voluntary organisation which relies totally on its membership and donations to continue to protect and conserve the unique archive collection we hold. Some of the documents we hold date from the early 18th century. All this material needs to be held in proper conservation conditions and containers. The newspaper collection dates from 1855, we are purchasing microfilm copies to limit the handling of, and so preserve the originals.  Material is continually being donated.
